Meet Our Pastor

In the late 90's, Bro. Albert was a member of the first Baptist Pembroke Church of Pembroke, GA where he also taught an adult Sunday school class. It was during this time the new pastor joined Bro. Albert’s class and suggested to Bro. Albert that he should consider becoming a preacher. However, Bro. Albert gave him the same reply he had given others who also encouraged him to go into the ministry. "God had blessed him with a love and desire to study His word and to teach, not preach.”

Bro. Albert continued to teach and soon began to feel that God was leading him to do more than just teach a Sunday school class.

During a Christmas message on “Gifts the Wise Men Brought to Jesus,” in December of 2001, the question was asked, “What would you give?” The pastor ended the message with, “We are to give of ourselves to be used by Him.” That was the turning point in Bro. Albert’s life, the moment he surrendered the call to ministry.

Brother Albert & His Wife Betty

After accepting God's call Bro. Albert was licensed in March of 2002 by First Baptist Pembroke Church, and began to do supply preaching. In June of that same year he was ordained as a minister of the gospel and continued to do supply preaching.

June of 2004 through August 2005, he served as interim pastor at North Salem Baptist Church in Port Wentworth, Georgia.

July of 2007 he began serving as interim pastor at Faulkville Baptist Church in Bloomingdale, GA and in June of 2008, the church called him as their pastor.

Bro. Albert has a tremendous passion for God’s word coupled with a love for God’s people.

With Bro. Albert’s expository preaching, he illustrates biblical truths and applications for everyday living.

Expository preaching presents the meaning and intent of a biblical text, providing commentary and examples to make the passage clear and understandable. The word exposition is related to the word expose — the expository preacher’s goal is simply to expose the meaning of the Bible, verse by verse.

Having received his mandate from God, Bro. Albert obediently fulfills his calling as Pastor at Faulkville Baptist church.

Bro. Albert resides in Pembroke, GA with his wife Betty and their two daughters.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16
