Woman’s Missionary Union® is an organization which strives to challenge Christian believers to understand and be radically involved in the mission of God. Since its beginning in 1888, WMU has been true to its basic purpose: missions.
WMU strives to meet Christians' needs and interests by providing missions information, resources, organizations, and opportunities. WMU, through its Web sites, hopes to encourage and enable Christians to become involved in missions, both individually and as a member of a Christian group. WMU has provided missions-related information online since 1996.
The women of Faulkville Baptist Church are proud to be affiliated with WMU and its missions. Please join us for fellowship and fun as we work together to help others, while sharing the love of Christ. We meet monthly on the second Thursday at 7:00 p.m. - visit the Bulletin Board for meeting details.

This year's effort included collecting gifts that children could give to their father's this Christmas. Imagine the joy on a child's face as they are able to offer a gift to their daddy on Christmas morning - join us in this effort if you are able. You are sure to be blessed!
In 2010, the Women’s Mission Union (WMU) assisted the Baptist Center’s Christmas Store. Their item of choice for 2010... stuffed animals! This ministry helped many families that would not otherwise have presents for their children at Christmas time. Many helped with this mission project by purchasing a new stuffed animals for the children. The Faulkville Baptist WMU goal? 30 new stuffed animals
What a blessing to think of the smiles that were put on the children's faces on Christmas morning... thank you to all who made this possible.

What is the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering? The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering supplements Cooperative Program giving to support more than 5,000 Southern Baptist missionaries as they share the Gospel overseas. The 2011 offering goal is $175 million. The focus was on celebrating what God has done in recent years, praising Him for allowing Southern Baptists to be a part of His work, while emphasizing that reaching those who remain untouched by the Gospel is a doable task, but these will be the hardest people groups to reach—requiring that believers pray, go, partner and give as never before!
Please be in prayer for how God would have you to contribute to this worthy mission.
Southern Baptist churches collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for the sole purpose of supporting international missions. Every penny of the offering goes to the International Mission Board’s overseas budget, thus supporting our missionaries and their work.

Our goal for 2009 was set at $2,000.00 and we made it! Our total collection... $2,110.34!

What is the State Missions Season of Prayer and Offering? It is an annual emphasis drawing the Georgia Baptist family together for concerted prayer for our state and for the ministries and mission work of the Georgia Baptist Convention.
Where does my money go? Gifts to the State Missions Offering are at work every day in evangelistic and mission efforts across our state. Statistics show that more than 70% of the population of Georgia are unreached by the gospel. Your gifts make it possible for people to be reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
During a September 2010 Prayer Meeting, we had the privilege to have Mrs. Pearline Burns, Director of the Savannah Baptist Association, join us. Mrs. Burns shared what God is doing through Georgia Baptist State Missions. Her visit was a blessing and very insightful. Ms. Burns visited us again in 2011; she is such blessing to our State Missions and her story is very encouraging. Please lift Mrs. Burns up in prayer as she battles health issues while continuing to work very hard to share the glorious message of our Lord Jesus Christ.
