Our Church History

This area has changed drastically since this church’s conception in 1971. Where there were once fields and pastures, there are now houses on top of houses, with more being built every day. Faulkville Baptist Church is in a wonderful location on Highway 80 and Zeigler Road. It is able to bring people in from all over; including Bloomingdale, Pooler, and Chatham, Effingham and Bryan Counties. We enjoy a sweet fellowship with each other and offer ministries for everyone from the cradle to the grave.

This church has been blessed with some mighty men of God behind the pulpit; including F.M. Taylor, Battey Bragg, Eddie Deas, Dan Johnson, Wayne Reynolds and Darnell Barner. Each has contributed in different ways to the building of God’s kingdom in Faulkville. Brother’s Battey Bragg, Dan Johnson, Wayne Reynolds and F.M. Taylor have all gone on to be with the Lord. In June of 2008, Brother Albert Hill was called to be our Pastor.

Through the years, Faulkville Baptist has been blessed because of the vision those original 46 people had to see a work for God in part of Effingham County where very little was taking place at the time. God continues to bless Faulkville Baptist Church as we continue to experience steady growth. He has placed us where we are in order to serve this growing and changing community.
